We are a sailboat-based assemblage of scientists, artists and athletes traversing the Americas and beyond to share the wisdom of nature and culture through inspiration and inclusive storytelling. Vertical Wings was established to raise awareness of environmental issues and inspire a sense of adventure and connection in everyday life.
What we’re currently doing.
Southern Emersion is a 6-month journey into one of the wildest regions in the Americas, the most southern tip of the continents. Beginning in November 2022 in the south Atlantic Ocean and moving around the Americas to the Pacific Ocean following the path of the last diaspora of humanity connecting the east and west. The people and planet are the authors of our stories. We use accessible and diverse platforms to communicate the importance, creating inspirational content through film, in-person events, interactive art, contributing to scientific articles, and producing inclusive media.
